Antikythera Device

This is a 3D model that I created of the famous Antikythera device, found in 1901 off the coast of an island near Greece. The device, which is said to date back as early as 87 BC and as late as 205 BC, contains at least 30 intricate gears and is said to have been used to predict astronomical positions and eclipses for calendar and astronomical purposes far ahead of its time.
